Job Description

Exciting Research associate position in “Pre-harvest treatment by Natural elicitors to the UAE date fruit and its effect on quality of date fruit” in the Integrative Agriculture Department of College of Food and Agriculture, UAEU. As an enthusiastic researcher you will join a collaborative team in the Department of Integrative agriculture and Department of Food, Nutrition and Health Department, UAEU. The research project is in collaboration with University of Talca, Chile. Key laboratory techniques and skills involved are likely to be: fruit quality attributes measurements, antioxidant analysis and activities, enzyme activity, microplate reader, spectroscopy, gas-chromatography and Cell culture techniques. The project would suit a candidate with experience in horticulture and food science, with strong lab skills and preferably experience in a fruit physiology and bioactive properties. The position is available immediately and the starting date is April 2020. Minimum Qualification

Master’s Degree in Horticulture/ Food Science or related discipline.

Preferred Qualification

Candidate should demonstrate previous experience in the relevant research through involvement in similar research projects and published articles.
