Applications are invited for a 2-year post-doctoral research associate to contribute to the project goals and deliverables of the Horizon 2020 funded project HARMONY Home (harmony-eu.org).

The Opportunity:

The successful candidate will conduct research on whole body optimal control and motion planning and contribute to the project goals and deliverables of the Horizon 2020 funded project HARMONY Home (harmony-eu.org).

The work will focus on whole body control for manipulation and loco-manipulation using trajectory optimisation techniques and model predictive control. The appointees work will contribute to the wider consortium with the project partners: ETH Zurich (Dr. Roland Siegwart), TU Delft (Dr. Javier Alonso-Mora), University of Bonn (Prof. Dr. Cyrill Stachniss), University of Twente (Prof. Vanessa Evers), CREATE (Bruno Siciliano), ABB and others.

This post will also be affiliated to the Alan Turing Institute (ATI) hub at Edinburgh, to collaborate with the ATI-RAS initiative, to which Professor Sethu Vijayakumar (the line manager for this post) is co-Programme Director.

The post is fixed-term and available immediately for 2 years with a possibility for extension to June 2024.
