We are seeking to recruit 3 Research Associates or Senior Research Associates, to conduct cutting edge research covering Open Radio Access Networks (O-RAN), network resource management, software defined networking, 5G and beyond, edge/cloud computing, optimization, AI/machine learning for networking and AI-driven intelligent network functions.

You will work with the UK government - Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) funded project which is in collaboration with various leading industrial partners and local authorities/councils. You should be able to demonstrate (via research publications and track record) a research background in one or more of the following areas: Open Radio Access Networks (O-RAN), network resource management, software defined networking, 5G and beyond, edge/cloud computing, optimization, AI/machine learning for networking and AI-driven intelligent network functions.

You will be expected to write and submit high-quality research papers, disseminate research results by giving talks and tutorials to our industrial partners, at conferences and other institutions, assist with preparing grant proposals, and undertake other research activities as needed. You will have a track record of good-quality publications and development/programming skills in areas of relevance to the project and the willingness to undertake ambitious and challenging research.  For more details, please see the detailed Person Specification for this position.
