Applicants are sought for a or a research associate position in protein science in the laboratory of Professor Knowles in the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry in Cambridge.

The responsibilities include leading and coordinating protein production activities for the group, developing and using state of the art expression systems including insect and mamalian cell based systems.

The successful candidate should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry or a related area and prior post doctoral research experience is highly desirable. They should have a strong aptitue for scientific research and and possess excellent communication skills. Experience with expressing proteins in both bacterial and mammalian systems is required. The successful applicant will be expected to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.

This position is part time at 10% FTE
