Robotics and Textile Composites Group, headed by Prof Prasad Potluri, works at the interface of textile technology, robotics, advanced manufacturing, and materials science. This research group has a strong reputation to deliver collaborative R&D programmes in partnership with textiles, automotive, aerospace and general engineering companies.  

Funded by the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account, this project aims to develop advanced manufacturing solutions for lingerie products with advanced weaving, knitting and additive manufacturing technologies, with the aid of robotics and multi-sensory systems.  

You must have a PhD degree or equivalent in textile technology or related subject area, and it is desirable that you have experience of delivering funded research projects that involve collaborations between academia and industry. You should also have some track records of research publications. Applicants whose research interests straddle multiple areas such as textile technology, additive manufacturing, 3D modelling, robotics &instrumentation are encouraged to apply.
