The position is available from 1st October 2021, or at another mutually agreed date. The position is full-time, but applications from individuals seeking part time, job share or flexible working arrangements are also welcome.
You are expected to have, or be about to obtain, a relevant PhD (or equivalent) in pure mathematics with a focus in model theory and/or related topics.
The primarydutywillbeconducting high quality research in the area of model theory and its connections to field theory and related areas. The post is funded by an EPSRC grant with research aims specific to the project in the area specified above. You will be expected to work towards achieving these aims in collaboration with the Principal Investigator; as well as develop your own line of research.
You should provide an academic CV and a research statement. The latter should be at most two sides of A4 excluding references. Both documents should be submitted in a single pdf file through the online system. In addition, the names of two references should be provided, in the relevant space of the online application.
