The Marine Energy Engineering Centre of Excellence (MEECE) at the Cardiff School of Engineering is seeking an enthusiastic Research Associate to conduct research within field of marine energy and to support engagement with Welsh Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs), exploring with them the opportunity to carry out research and deliver innovation projects on their behalf.

MEECE is a multi-million-pound collaboration between ORE Catapult and Welsh universities, funded by the Welsh European Funding Office and by Swansea Bay Region City Deal. The Centre delivers research, development and demonstration activities to support innovation and accelerating the commercialisation of the wave, tidal and offshore wind sectors in Wales by reducing cost of energy. 

Successful candidates will benefit from an opportunity to work within a large multi-disciplinary team across different universities and close collaboration with the Centre’s industrial partners. This post is fulltime and is available immediately until the end of May 2023. Ability to travel within the UK is essential.

The two positions are full time 35 hours per week, available immediately and are fixed term until the end of May 2023.

Salary: £34,304 - £40,927 per annum (Grade 6)
