Research Associate - Horizon 2020 Project ENTRANCES (Maternity Cover)

A part-time, fixed-term Research Associate position is offered by the School of Geography and Planning to support the work of the Horizon 2020 Project ENTRANCES (Energy TRANsitions from Coal and carbon: Effects on Societies). 

The post is to cover a period of maternity leave and is offered at 0.5fte for up to 9 months. The post will start on 1st September 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter. 

The post-holder will be responsible for reviewing the current literature (academic and policy) on energy transitions in Wales; undertaking qualitative research with key stakeholders; supporting the work of consortium partners and facilitating a small survey of households in Wales. 

The post-holder should be able to demonstrate a commitment to policy-relevant research and a strong command of the energy transitions landscape in Wales, particularly relating to social and economic implications. 

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate their ability to work independently as well as forming part of a small team. 

There is a strong emphasis on written publications and the post-holder will be supported to develop the findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Salary: £34,304 - £40,927 per annum (Grade 6)
