Are you passionate about Precision Livestock research? The research fellow position is available to help with delivery of various ongoing funded research projects on precision livestock health and technologies led by Professor Jasmeet Kaler. Working alongside various industry partners we are utilising state of the art technologies such as location sensors, temperature boluses and cameras etc to collect information on various aspects of calf and cow health, behaviour welfare and production measures. The focus of the role will be to utilise multiple large datasets and sensor technologies to develop predictive models of key aspects of dairy calf and cow health outcomes, performance and welfare. The successful applicant will be required key role in writing of peer reviewed publication alongside contributing to the grant writing in the related field.
The successful applicant will join a friendly, highly motivated and successful Ruminant Population Health research group. The post will be primarily research focused (90%) with limited but some teaching and administrative duties.
