Salary
£28762 to £43414 per annum, pro rata depending on skills and experience (minimum £32348 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

The Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre (SPMIC), University of Nottingham is seeking to recruit a Research Associate/Fellow in the field of cardiac and renal MRI .

The successful candidate will develop and apply cardiac and renal MRI sequences and develop novel analysis methods to understand cardiac and kidney function and structure.

Knowledge and understanding of the principles of MRI and procedures for optimisation of acquisition protocols is essential.

The post-holder will be expected to be independent in cardiac/renal MRI data acquisition and analysis techniques. Matlab/python programming skills are essential. The post-holder will assist in the data analyses, preparation of publications and downstream funding applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing up the work to contribute to published outcomes.

The post holder will be expected to undertake research independently, as well as working as part of a team. This will include using approaches, methodologies and techniques appropriate to the type of research. Therefore, the role holder will have the opportunity to use their initiative and creativity to identify areas for research, develop research methods and extend their research portfolio.

This role is available on a fixed term basis until 30/09/2023. Hours of work are part time (20 hours).
