The Magnetics and Materials Research Group is seeking an applicant for a post-doctoral research position to join a NIHR funded project developing a glove prototype to be used in the treatment of patients with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare skin disease. As part of a larger multidisciplinary team, the researcher will be tasked with developing unique soft actuators integrated into the glove for providing hand splinting.
The candidate should ideally have experience in materials fabrication and soft actuator design including a good working knowledge of 3D printing techniques.
This post is full time (35 hours per week) and fixed term for three years until 31st October 2022.
Salary: £33,199 - £39,609 per annum (Grade 6).
