Cardiff University is internationally recognised for its research within Dentistry, and within the fields of infection and immunity. As part of our response to the SARS-CoV2 pandemic, an opportunity has arisen for a post-doctoral researcher to join us, to work on a collaborative project between the School of Dentistry and the Division of Infection and Immunity. The successful candidate will perform virological research on SARS-CoV2, within our dedicated containment level 3 (CL3) laboratory, to support the testing of antiviral interventions and therapeutics within dental practice.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant area (or nearing completion / submission) and will be willing to work under CL3 conditions. Previous CL3 experience is not required, as full training will be given.

This is a full time, fixed term position (35 hours per week, for 6 months) and is available immediately.

Salary: £33,797 - £40,322 per annum (Grade 6)
