This post offers an exciting opportunity to work across the Schools of Engineering and Healthcare Sciences and with key leaders in Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Devices, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. They will be researching into and delivering the objectives on an MRC Confidence in Concept Award entitled “Clinical acceptance of technology in remote rehabilitation assessment: addressing urgent COVID challenges to drive future technology transfer.”
Based in the School of Engineering, the post holder will be expected to conduct research within clinical acceptance of technology in remote rehabilitation assessment and to contribute to the overall research performance of the School and University by the production of measurable outputs including bidding for funding and publishing in national academic journals and conferences. Key duties will involve qualitative research linking early adopters and new users of technology for remote healthcare and rehabilitation applications and clinical assessments. They will be expected to prepare reports on research findings to be delivered to the Investigators and the appropriate NHS Wales Committees whilst developing and delivering research objectives and proposals for research programmes including funding proposals.
This post is full time (35 hours per week) fixed term for 11 months and must start as soon as possible to ensure that the allocated funding is spent within the project end date (end September 2021).
Salary: £33,797 - £40,322 per annum (Grade 6). It is anticipated that an appointment will not be made above point 31, £34,804 per annum.
