We are looking for a Research Assistant to join the CAMH-Crisis 2 project team in the School of Healthcare Sciences.

CAMH-Crisis 2 is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Health and Social Care Delivery (HSDR) Research Programme. Building on a completed evidence synthesis in this same area, the CAMH-Crisis 2 project team is mapping the provision of mental health crisis care for children and young people in England and Wales, and examining in detail how models of care are organised, sustained and experience in a series of eight in-depth case studies.

In this role, you will:

  • Undertake and support research within the area of crisis care for children and young people with mental health problems, e.g. by planning, preparing, setting-up and conducting field work
  • Undertake administrative tasks associated with the research project
  • Actively participate within the research project team, communicating and presenting research at meetings, through publications and other recognised avenues as appropriate, ensuring information is communicated to internal and external partners

We’d like to hear from you if you have:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and experience of mixed methods research
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and team-working skills

This role is eligible to be offered on a blended working basis, meaning that as well as spending time working on campus you may spend time working from another location e.g your home. This post is fixed-term until 30th April 2025, and part-time (17.5 hours per week).

Salary: £32,332 - £34,980 per annum, pro-rata (Grade 5)
