Research Assistant

Job Description

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant (RA) position at the National Water and Energy Center (NWEC) with the United Arab Emirates University. The RA will carry out mathematical modelling and experiments in the area of renewable energy. Additional job responsibilities may include administrative duties as well as maintenance of the lab as deemed necessary by the supervisor. Highly motivated candidates with academic background in engineering (electrical/mechanical engineering) are invited to apply for this position. The candidate should be willing to spend significant time working on a computer or in the lab.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor degree in Engineering (mechanical or chemical or electrical)

Preferred Qualification

Bachelor degree in Engineering (mechanical or chemical or electrical)

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience

Interest in renewable energy, good mathematical aptitude and communication skills, general laboratory experience, experience in using MATLAB and ANSYS Workbench, willingness to learn on the job, ability to work independently as well as in a team, commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace
