Research Assistant - Temporal Memory Safety (Fixed Term)

This research associate position is to work in Professor Simon Moore's team to explore advances at the hardware/software interface to make temporal memory safety more performant. This is part of a larger project called CHERI:

The ideal candidate will have a first class degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or comparable experience. Expertise in systems-level programming (particularly low-level C-code) and hardware design (particularly SystemVerilog) are essential. Knowledge of trusted execution environments and cryptography would be desirable. The project will be part of a team effort, so experience of working in a team and using associated tools (revision control, bug trackers, regression test systems, etc.) is very useful.
