The vision of the Atoms Array Laboratory is to solve complex problems in material science using reconfigurable atom arrays and quantum physics. We are seeking a research assistant with software and firmware engineering capabilities, who can assume the following responsibilities:

  • Implement and debug real-time control of atom arrays using both software-defined radio and streamed arbitrary waveform generators
  • Investigate machine-learning algorithms for enhanced real-time reconfiguration of atoms
  • Comparison of machine-learning algorithms against traditional rearrangement methods
  • Develop and maintain various software and firmware interfaces for device control in the laboratory
  • Job Requirements

The research assistant should have at least 2 years of experience in software and firmware engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in either physics or computer science.
