Role Description

Research Assistant or Research Fellow in Multi-fidelity Aircraft Design Optimization

This post will be contributing to research on a project as part of a large team.  It involves research activities such as the development of methods and tools to synchronize the computational results from different models, and to update the structure and parameters of the model. Other activities will include data fusion between high & low fidelity representations and the development of strategies to balance computational cost and model accuracy.

You will have experience in the application of common surrogate modelling techniques, high-fidelity (detailed) modelling and simulation of aircraft and knowledge of aircraft preliminary design. You will enjoy composing project deliverables and giving presentations, and be able to assist in project integration workshops and other meetings. With excellent communication skills, you will also be a good team player, and have the ability to cope with pressure.
