About the role
 We are looking for a Research Assistant (Qualitative) to join us in the Department of Respiratory Sciences. In this role you will be providing support to the NIHR Global Research Group for Respiratory Rehabilitation project (RECHARGE) and facilitate the qualitative components of the project whilst contributing as a team member within the Centre of Exercise and Rehabilitation Centre (CERS) in Leicester.
 
You will collect, evaluate and interpret qualitative research data, documenting your findings whilst assessing the outcomes and options emerging from the research, contributing as a junior partner to the writing and publication of research papers.
 
You will also prepare research reports monitoring and evaluating the research activity of the RECHARGE project and provide expert advice to staff and students in the department.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be educated to Post Graduate level in a relevant discipline with experience of qualitative heath research. Ideally you'll hold a PhD in a relevant subject with practical experience of applying research skills and techniques. 
 

You'll be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, being able to work comfortably both in a team and independently. You will be able to work with minimal supervision, prioritising your own workload to deal with urgent tasks, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
