We are looking for highly-skilled and motivated individuals to join a group of LSE researchers under the direction of Xavier Jaravel, Camille Landais, Kate Smith and Johannes Spinnewijn. The job will entail close collaboration on a number of new and ongoing projects on a broad range of topics in applied microeconomics with applications to economic policy, using “big data” and quasi-experimental methods to identify causal effects and test the predictions of economic and sociological models.
The successful candidate should have a completed Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and/or a completed (or nearly completed) Master’s degree in Economics or other closely related discipline, strong quantitative and data analysis skills, strong programming skills and confidence with the use of different data management software and the ability to manage own areas of responsibility independently without constant direct supervision. Experience in Stata, SAS or Matlab is essential. We are looking for someone with fluency in written and spoken English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills who is able to communicate effectively to different audiences, conveying complex technical information in a clear and accurate manner.
We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent training and development opportunities.
