Job Description

The successful candidate will work with A/Prof Victor Yu to study the role of MOAP-1 in aging and regulation of metabolism and obesity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing research support to the project.
  • Preparing procedures, protocols and reports.
  • Providing support with mice husbandry and animal experimentation/procedure.
  • Conducting experiments using modern molecular biology techniques such as PCR, quantitative RT-PC, western blot, CRISPR and immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry.
  • Performing administrative duties such as housekeeping and purchasing.

  • Qualifications

    • Qualifications / Discipline:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Science

  • Cell culture, DNA and protein work.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and effective time management.
  • Motivated and able to function effectively in team setting.
  • Prior experience in working in a research lab setting in life sciences will be given priority in the selection process, especially those with prior experience with cell culture, DNA, protein or mouse work.
