Job Description

  • (Snowball) sampling.
  • Conducting primary qualitative research amongst migrants, non-migrants and religious leaders in Singapore.
  • Transcribing interview data.
  • Recruiting religious organisations to participate in a social network analysis.
  • Assisting the PI (Principal Investigator) with the administrative management of the project, including, possibly, the organisation of 1-2 workshops with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a social science discipline.
  • Have some experience conducting qualitative research in Singapore.
  • Be organised, detail-oriented and motivated to learn.
  • Have an interest in issues related to religion, migration and identity.
  • Have language skills in Mandarin (and/or the Chinese dialects spoken in Singapore), Malay and/or Tamil.
