Role overview and University context: We offer an exciting opportunity for a strong candidate with a research background in health psychology, nutrition or public health to join the Department of Psychology at the University of Liverpool as a research assistant.

Responsibilities: Applications are invited from researchers to join Prof Eric Robinson and colleagues in the Appetite & Obesity Research Group as a research assistant. Your primary role will be as a research assistant on a European funded project that will examine real-world interventions to improve diet, by focusing on: 

  • How the food environment affects what and how much we eat.
  • Psychologically informed interventions and public health policies that can improve nutrition.
  • The importance of socioeconomic position and social inequalities in health for understanding how to improve diet and reduce obesity.

We are seeking researchers with a degree in Psychology or a closely related field, such as Nutrition or Public Health. Experience in eating behaviour, nutrition or experimental methods would be desirable.
