Job summary

Imperial Prostate (IP) specialise in imaging, precision diagnostic & minimally invasive surgical studies working towards improving the lives of men who develop or are being investigated for prostate cancer and other prostate diseases.

The group’s mission is to improve the speed, accuracy and safety of prostate disease diagnosis, and to evaluate new treatments which have fewer side effects than standard techniques without losing treatment efficacy. IP are dedicated to helping ensure that the best model of prostate disease care is available to all men throughout the UK as well as worldwide.

The purpose of this post is to provide research and data management support across a portfolio of clinical studies and research projects for Imperial Prostate.

You will work under the direction of the Chief and Principal Investigators, the group clinical project manager and academic research fellows to facilitate processes associated with research coordination, data management and administration.

This will encompass support for both existing and new studies, initially concentrated to the MRC funded ReIMAGINE consortium project and clinical studies within it (https://www.reimagine-pca.org/).

This post will involve working across a number of NHS Trust sites in London, so a willingness to travel and work across campuses is essential.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Coordination and administrative support for new and ongoing research projects.

  • Maintenance and monitoring of research records and documentation according to ICH GCP.

  • Timely and accurate data interpretation, collection, and entry to study databases.


Essential requirements

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, in a discipline relevant to the post

  • Experience of research and/or clinical trials

  • Competent use of word processing, spreadsheets, databases and other common software packages

  • Willingness to travel between collaborative sites (London area)


Further information

The post is for 9 months initially. The project is funded by The Medical Research Council (MRC).

The successful candidate will require a clear DBS check to enable contract issue as the role involves working with NHS Trusts.

As this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, at the appropriate level, will be required for the successful candidate.
