We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to join the world-leading Recovery Research Team led by Professor Mike Slade, within the School of Health Sciences, University of Nottingham.
In England, there are an increasing number of Recovery Colleges, however there is limited research investigation into their effectiveness and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will work with Professor Mike Slade and co-PI Prof Claire Henderson (King’s College London) on the NIHR funded RECOLLECT 2 programme grant. Using a mixed-methods design, RECOLLECT 2 aims to understand how Recovery Colleges can provide the most benefit to people who use mental health services.
Candidates should have a first degree or equivalent in a relevant social science or health related discipline. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of mental health research and have experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
The position will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension dependent on grant funding. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week), however job share arrangements may be considered.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Prof Mike Slade ([email protected] ) or Dr Tesnime Jebara ([email protected] ). Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
