Job Description

A Research Assistant/Research Fellow position is available in the Department of Chemistry at the National University of Singapore, under Prof Loh Kian Ping.

The job scope is to carry out DFT modelling in solid state physics problem or catalysis problem. The applicant must be able to set up simulation jobs, construct models and interpret data.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree/PhD Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or Physics from a world class research institute or university
  • Demonstrated publication track record in SCI journals
  • Good expertise in computer simulation of physical chemistry or physics problem relevant to catalysis, spin-related materials, or membrane filtration
  • Familiar with VASP or CASTEB DFT simulation software
  • Familiar with solid state physics
  • Able to analyse complex data and write reports
