Salary
Research Assistant: £31,396 to £32,982 per annum.
Research Associate: £33,966 to £36,024 per annum.

The role
We are looking for someone who has or will shortly obtain a PhD to undertake research to develop novel quantitative methods to measure protein secretion in Staphylococcus aureus for high throughput screening. You will be part of the Microbes in Health and Disease research theme in Newcastle University Faculty of Medical Sciences, as part of a Wellcome Trust funded project studying the type VII secretion system of S. aureus.

Candidates with a background in Staphylococcal genetics, protein secretion and high throughput screening are encouraged to apply.

This post is fixed term for a period of 24 months.
