Anglia Ruskin is a vibrant workplace, and our University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally. We have ambitious plans for the future, and we are determined that our students and staff will realise their full potential. You will conduct research leading to identifying the mechanisms of action of a novel antibody which targets the annexin A1 (ANXA1) protein. Our previous investigations have shown this antibody to exert an anticancer effect on cell lines derived from ovarian, pancreatic, colorectal, breast cancer and glioblastoma. We are currently conducting investigations to determine how the anti-ANXA1 antibody, suppresses cell signalling, cell cycle progression, angiogenesis and metastasis leading to tumour to cell death.
With a BSc Degree in a biological science-related subject area, we seek an individual with an enthusiastic approach who has experience in cell biology, cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques. They must have excellent written and oral communication skills, have the ability to think innovatively and be able to critically analyse data or information.
Informal enquiries can be made to Christopher Parris, Head of School, Faculty of Science & Engineering; email@example.com .
