We are recruiting a Research Assistant to contribute to the academic work of an ESRC grant held by the International Diagnostics Centre at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). 

The post holder will assist the ESRC-funded interdisciplinary research group (International Diagnostic Centre and International Centre for Evidence in Disability at LSHTM) to implement the discrete choice experiment study among older people in the UK. The post holder will be expected to help the team carry out fieldwork, collect survey data, help with data analysis and interpretation. 

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in data science and academic manuscript writing, evidence of good organisational skills, including effective time management, relevant computer/analytical skills for qualitative and quantitative data, evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. This part-time post (0.3 FTE) is fixed term and funded by the ESRC until 31 January 2022. The post is available from 1 September 2021. The salary will be on the Academic pathways Grade 5 in the range £34,854- £40,011 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
