Applications are invited for a Research and PhD Administrator (Grade 4), to work in Queen Mary’s highly successful School of Business and Management. Now in its fifteenth year, the School’s community of PhD students is growing steadily, supervised by and supporting the research of around 80 members of academic staff. The prime focus of this role is to support the Research Manager in preparations for the next Research Excellence Framework assessment, and to be the first point of contact within the School for all current and potential PhD students, handling applications for the PhD programme and all aspects of administration throughout the PhD student journey.

The Research and PhD Administrator will be educated to degree level or equivalent with substantial experience in the higher education sector. She or he will possess excellent communication skills and will be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise and maintain control over a broad and varied workload. Proven experience of competence and confidence in the creation and analysis of large data sets is also essential.

The post is full time and permanent. Applicants who wish to be considered for a job-share arrangement or for flexible working are welcome. Starting salary will be in the range £32,405 - £38,062per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
