Overview

About the Role 

This post you will be working within the Bone and Joint Health Group, within the Centre of Neuroscience, Surgery and Trauma Centre at the Blizard Institute. The role will be responsible for overseeing all research and education activities and managing the daily operations of multiple research projects.  In addition, this role will provide assistance to the Chair, senior members of the group and those in the musculoskeletal theme within the BRC to deliver its aims and objectives.  

About You 

You will have an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional experience. You will have experience of working with in Research & Development, supporting the completion of regulatory requirements for research. You must also have a strong understanding and knowledge in research grant administration preferably in the HEI or funding body sector. You will have excellent organisation and coordination skills, be highly effective at diary management, coordinating meetings and taking minutes, managing staff and have exceptional ICT proficiency. You will have excellent team working skills, enjoy and thrive working in a busy environment and take a proactive approach in your work. Having an interest in musculoskeletal health and enthusiasm for research will be of an advantage, but is not essential.  

About the Institute

The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. The Institute comprises approximately 360 staff based in four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre, and supports a combined total of c700 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.
