The above full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term basis until 31st July 2022. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

The post

The Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence invites applications for a post which can be appointed as either Research Impact Associate (at grade E) or as a Postdoctoral Research Impact Fellow (at grade F).

The focus of the role is to research and report on the reproducibility issues in machine learning and AI conducted in the Institute. The role involves documenting current practices in reproducibility, identifying barriers and facilitators to producing reproducible research, to report on what reproducibility means for disparate disciplines. The post holder will engage with researchers across the university to identify best practice.

The successful candidate will work closely with the IDSAI research fellows, Institute manager and Institute management group to carry out the research and identify opportunities.

About you

For the Postdoctoral Research Impact Fellow, applicants will possess a PhD, or expect to have earned one, or be nearing completion before taking up the position.  

For the Research Impact Associate, applicants will hold a postgraduate qualification. 

The successful applicant will also be able to work independently, leading the research projects, working collaboratively with others as required.
