A great opportunity for an International Recruitment Regional Manager to join the University of Surrey’s Student Recruitment team, leading on Recruitment within South East Asia. 

You’ll play a vital role in leading key strategic initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, driving our Student Recruitment and Marketing strategies across South East Asia.

The role

This role will focus on recruiting high-quality overseas undergraduate and postgraduate students to the University. You will need to establish good relationships with relevant stakeholders such as agents, sponsors, and school counsellors and use a variety of recruitment methods to work with colleagues to effectively promote the University to potential students. 

You’ll be expected to:

  • Lead on the development and implementation of regional recruitment plans with minimal supervision, to deliver growth in line with the university’s student intake targets. 
  • Have some line management responsibility for the International Officer and Regional Representatives in your region.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of student recruitment in South East Asia and strategically align recruitment plans with the overarching University strategy.
  • Deputise for the Director of International Student Recruitment at senior internal meetings and committees and in meetings with external stakeholders.
  • Provide high-performance leadership, management, advice, and guidance to maximize the effectiveness of the International Student Recruitment and Marketing Team in South East Asia.

We’re looking for someone with experience working in higher education in an international recruitment role. You’ll have experience of dealing with overseas recruitment, and possess a broad awareness of the international recruitment sector, both commercially and culturally.

You’ll be confident in delivering presentations, complex projects and running events and will be able to demonstrate good IT skills.

International travel will be expected in this post, so we require all applicants to hold a valid passport and be willing to travel.
