This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the role

As part of the Exeter’s Global Partnerships Team in the External Engagement and Global (EEG) directorate, the postholder will work on a range of partnership activities with international institutions in support of the delivery of global targets outlined in the University’s Strategy 2030 .

The role consists of two main elements:

  • Supporting the strategic development of partnership activity across the University within an assigned geographic region;
  • and alignment to one of the University’s three Faculties, driving their Faculty’s global agenda across research, education initiatives, and transnational education (TNE).

The successful applicant will be capable of applying their experience to partnership development and project management in support of their assigned region and faculty. They will be comfortable in both working with senior leaders to develop global strategy for their assigned region and faculty, and in delivery of action plans and projects.

The postholder will have highly effective and accurate communication skills and will liaise with staff from international HE institutions as well as within the University of Exeter – both with academics and professional services staff. They will have the ability to lead discussions; to inform strategy; to negotiate, and to write clear and detailed reports and recommendations. Qualities such as diplomacy, sensitivity, a commitment to excellence and a proactive, enthusiastic approach are fundamental to this role.
