These roles offer the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Role 1: Regional Head, Global Partnerships – working with HASS and focussed on South Asia

This permanent role  is available immediately on a full time basis.

Role 2: Regional Head, Global partnerships – working with ESE and focussed on South-East Asia

This is a one-year fixed term contract to cover adoption leave and is available immediately on a full time basis.

Summary of the role

Opportunities have arisen for Regional Heads, Global Partnerships in Exeter’s External Engagement and Global directorate. The post-holders will work with colleagues from Global Exeter, EEG and their respective faculty to support the implementation of the global strategy and global education and research partnerships, in pursuit of the University’s Strategy to 2030.  In particular, each Regional Head will also have specific geographic focus, working with our colleagues based in India, Malaysia and China.

The successful applicants will be capable of applying their experience to partnership development in a higher education context – in support of their assigned faculty but also with university-wide links with regards their assigned region.  They will have highly effective and accurate communication skills and will liaise with staff from international HE institutions as well as within the University of Exeter – both academic and professional services.  They will have the ability to lead discussions; to inform strategy; to negotiate, and to write clear and detailed reports and recommendations. Qualities such as diplomacy, sensitivity, a commitment to excellence and a proactive, enthusiastic approach are fundamental to these roles.
