This full-time role is available immediately on a fixed term basis for one year.
We are really excited to be offering a fantastic opportunity to the market for a talented recruitment professional to join us in one of our Recruitment Coordinator roles. The role will be hybrid with some time on campus and some from home (or location of your choice). There is potential also for the role to be remote based working within the UK.
We are looking for someone who has some recruitment or general HR experience and really loves supporting an organisation to attract and hire the best. There is a huge opportunity to truly make a difference with this role. We have transformed our recruitment team and work much more closely with all of our Faculties and Support services to offer expertise around sourcing, selection and candidate management. There are also lots of opportunities to progress your career towards one of our Recruitment Lead roles and to progress within HR generally.
What you will be doing:
- Taking responsibility for the end to end recruitment process ensuring that candidates and recruiting managers receive a standout service at all times
- Building strong relationships with regular recruiting managers and other key stakeholders (across all sites in Exeter and Cornwall)
- Supporting recruiting managers that are new to the process with guidance and expertise around process, roles and responsibilities and candidate experience
- Advising recruiting managers on sourcing options and ways to best attract the right candidates
- Advising recruiting managers on appropriate selection and assessment methods
- Ongoing administration to support the recruitment process; using a variety of systems and following internal processes
- Dealing with multiple queries from candidates and hiring managers
- Delivering an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience
You will have:
- Previous experience as a recruitment coordinator or advisor either with a recruitment agency or within an internal recruitment team OR general HR experience
- Experience of managing recruitment from taking a job brief right through to pre-employment checks and contract generation
- Experience advising Hiring Managers
- Experience managing compliance and risk within a recruitment capacity
- A strong customer focus and understanding that everything we do must lead to the customer getting a great service
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
- The ability to juggle work priorities and demonstrate a sense of urgency
- The ability to be flexible and deal with frequent interruptions
- A desire for continuous improvement
