The Sports Service is looking for enthusiastic, pro-active and customer-focused individuals to join our friendly team of part-time receptionists.

As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for users and visitors of the Sports Centre through all means of communication - in person, by email, and by phone. As such, you will be of central importance to providing a warm and welcoming experience for users.

You will monitor access to the University Sports Centre, deal with a range of enquiries - including questions regarding the Indoor Cricket School at the Fenner's Cricket Ground and Wilberforce Road Sports Ground, process memberships, take class and court bookings, sign-out equipment, and support emergency procedures when required.

You should have a helpful and positive attitude, excellent communication skills, possess strong organisational skills, and be able to work confidently under your own initiative or with direction.

A good general education to GCSE level, including English and Maths, is required. The role holder should have previous work experience in a reception or customer facing role and be confident using of booking or similar IT systems. Training will be given in relation to the specific system used by the Sports Service.

The shifts available are:

Saturdays, 13:45 to 20:15

Sundays, 13:45 to 20:15

There will also be the possibility to cover other shifts.
