To further strengthen our research and teaching portfolio, in line with our strategic objectives, ABS wishes to appoint a Professor of Economics. The Professor will lead research, scholarship and teaching activities of the School through professional practice and expertise. They will also foster internal and external collaboration with regional, UK and international businesses and bodies as appropriate to subject discipline and School strategy. We are very interested in candidates who have expertise in International Economics, Regional Economics, Economics of Innovation and Technological Change, and/or Economics of Small Business & Entrepreneurship.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an excellent track record of personal research achievement in a relevant area, together with experience of and commitment to delivering high quality, innovative teaching. They will have a proven record of success in securing competitive research funding and experience of successful PhD supervision. Candidates will also be able to show experience of working with businesses and other relevant external bodies.
