An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced administrator to provide full and comprehensive administrative support for the College of Business and Social Sciences’ On-line courses.  The position is offered on a secondment basis for a fixed term period of 2 years.

You will work as part of a team to manage the processes involved in the operational delivery of BSS On-line courses.   The role will require you to work alongside our external partner to ensure the provision of high levels of service to students studying on-line and to provide advice and guidance on all regulatory and administrative matters relating to the delivery of our On-line courses.  Your role will encompass all administrative aspects relating to student support and assessments and will require you to provide out of hours support for synchronous learning, delivered via webinars, on a regular basis. 

The successful candidate should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience of working in an administrative role in the HE sector, ideally with both student support and exams and assessments related experience.  Excellent written and verbal skills are essential for the role, along with a proven track record of developing and managing relationships with external clients or partners.  The ability to work flexibly as part of a team in order to manage workloads is essential as is the ability to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.  

A high level of computer literacy with proficiency in standard office packages is required.  Experience of working with SITS, Blackboard VLE and Collaborate is also desirable as is experience of administering programmes that are delivered online.
