The Energy and Bioproducts Research Institute requires a research associate to join a team working with businesses to develop solutions to greenhouse gas reduction and sustainability challenges.  

The successful candidate will provide technical and scientific expertise as part of a major bioenergy demonstration, research and knowledge transfer project. The role is required to work closely with academics and technologists in EBRI and other University departments as well as business development professionals to support new industry related business and collaborative research projects. 

You will report to EBRI’s Project Manager and work closely with thermal research teams in EBRI.  

Experience in experimental research work involving key bioenergy technologies (in particular biological processes such as Anaerobic Digestion and Lifecycle Analysis)  is required, together with a competence in general bioenergy systems.
