An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Event Coordinator to join the Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions Team to effectively coordinate major University events including degree congregations, receptions, seminars, inaugural lectures and other key events, both online and in person. 

You will support the event manager in the overall organisation of Aston University graduation ceremonies, including planning and liaison with all Colleges, Schools and departments across the University, giving advice on procedures as and when required, dealing with student enquiries and taking responsibility under the direction of the event manager for the delivery of the ceremonies. 

You will need to demonstrate a flair for not only developing and implementing processes and procedures with meticulous attention to detail, but also be a true people person with great interpersonal skills. 

You will be educated to at least A Level standard and have relevant administrative and event management experience of managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. 

You will have excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload to meet tight deadlines. Experience of working with SITS (student information system) would be advantageous, however training will be given.
