This is an exciting opportunity to join a strategically important team. You will actively contribute to the Aston’s vision for the delivery of outstanding graduate outcomes and equipping business and communities with the skills for the future. As part of this you will support the Careers and Placements Team’s strategic key performance indicator of 100% compulsory placements.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our busy but friendly team, to facilitate and support increasing numbers of students into placements in the UK and overseas, creatively overcoming some of the challenges posed by Covid-19. Reporting to the Lead Placement Coordinator, you will have responsibility for your own student cohorts. You will market placements to students over the phone, virtually and face to face to stimulate and increase demand as well as deliver student preparation activities through Caseload Management, recruitment and selection technique sessions and skills development workshops.

An important part of this role is to work closely with other departments and Colleges to design and implement an integrated, responsive and highly flexible activity programme that will support students’ before, during and after placement.

Educated to A level or equivalent, you will be able to work effectively under pressure and enjoy achieving targets. This is a hands-on role that requires an enthusiastic and innovative individual who is able to work independently but also as part of a team with ability to enthuse and inspire students.
