Aston Business School will be a global leader in bridging the world of intellectual discovery and the practical needs of enterprises and the professions. Our goal is to enhance enterprise and enterprises. We develop individuals to perform better within enterprises and the professions, and to create successful new ventures. We support business leaders in enhancing their organisation’s performance and growth. We advise policy-makers on ways to improve society and the economy. Our research creates new knowledge that furthers these aspirations. It is our particular aim to ensure that the opportunities we create are made available to all members of our society.

Aston has been a leading university for graduate employment success for over 25 years. Our close and established links with business, the public sector and the professions ensure that our career focussed degree programmes are inspiring, challenging and constantly updated to equip students with essential work-related skills and experiences. Aston has an established track record of Degree Apprenticeship Provision, and recently achieved the second highest ranking of Higher Education Institutions within the Rate My Apprenticeship Awards and placed 14th overall. The success and growth of our Degree Apprenticeship provision has led to our desire to appoint additional Degree Apprenticeship Tutors to support our current and prospective apprentices.

The Degree Apprenticeship Coach will support apprentices who are based in various parts of the United Kingdom. Most of the interaction with apprentices, employer partners and colleagues will take place using online communication platforms and so the Degree Apprenticeship Coach will have the opportunity to work from home. It is expected that attendance at two-day on-campus teaching events and team meetings will likely be required each month, and that annual meetings with apprentices in their workplace will soon resume.

You will have the ability to provide exceptional support to our apprentices, and work  with our employer partners to design and deliver a variety of work-based learning activities. Committed to excellent teaching and outstanding student support, you will also be able to add to our business and community engagement work. You will need either an undergraduate degree, a masters or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject discipline, or  a recognised teaching qualification, or you will have significant practical experience of support students through, training, coaching and related activities.

We are able to appoint to part time or full time roles for these positions, please indicate in your application for the role.

Please note: Redeployees will be given priority consideration for vacancies.
