About the role

We are looking for an excellent communicator with experience of leadership in UK higher education. Someone who will be a creative and enthusiastic Quality Enhancement and Engagement Manager, sharing our commitment to improving and promoting the UK’s world-class reputation for delivering a high-quality higher education experience for all students

The role is responsible for designing, developing and delivering quality enhancement resources and activities to meet the needs of QAA Members including induction and development courses for staff in our member institutions.

About you  

We are looking for individuals with academic and academic-related backgrounds. You will have experience as an academic manager with responsibility for designing and delivering courses as well as contributing to institutional policy in response to sector developments. This might have been gained in an academic or educational development role. The post will involve leading projects to enhance policy and practice across the sector, in many cases innovating and testing new ideas to support QAA Member institutions.

It is important that you have excellent communication skills including the ability to create imaginative, useful materials for busy academic staff and demonstrate real flair in presenting these to a variety of audiences. You will have a keen interest in quality assurance and enhancement and a thorough knowledge of sector-wide reference points including the UK Quality Code for Higher Education and the Office for Students’ regulatory conditions. You should also have credibility to engage with senior institutional colleagues.
