About us
This is an exciting time to join an organisation with an essential role in the UK’s tertiary education sector.
We are a world-leading quality agency with unmatched experience of providing impartial regulatory and collaborative quality assurance and enhancement. We support universities and colleges in working with students and learners, governments, funders and regulatory bodies to evidence and enhance the excellent quality and high standards of the education they provide.
We work towards a greater public understanding - domestically and internationally - of how excellent quality is demonstrated in UK higher education, and how autonomous providers both assure its delivery and address weaknesses. Our work safeguards the value of qualifications for students and learners, and protects and promotes the reputation of higher education.
About the role

Someone who will be a creative and enthusiastic Quality Enhancement and Engagement Manager, sharing our commitment to improving and promoting the UK’s world-class reputation for delivering a high-quality higher education experience for all students
The role is responsible for designing, developing and delivering quality enhancement resources and activities to meet the needs of QAA Members including induction and development courses for staff in our member institutions.

About you
We are looking for individuals with academic and academic-related backgrounds. You will have experience as an academic manager with responsibility for designing and delivering courses as well as contributing to institutional policy in response to sector developments. This might have been gained in an academic or educational development role. The post will involve leading projects to enhance policy and practice across the sector, in many cases innovating and testing new ideas to support QAA Member institutions.
It is important that you have excellent communication skills including the ability to create imaginative, useful materials for busy academic staff and demonstrate real flair in presenting these to a variety of audiences. You will have a keen interest in quality assurance and enhancement and a thorough knowledge of sector-wide reference points including the UK Quality Code for Higher Education and the Office for Students’ regulatory conditions. You should also have credibility to engage with senior institutional colleagues.
To apply for this role, please submit your CV with a short covering letter via the ‘Apply’ button above.
