London South Bank University are excited to be recruitng a Psychology Technician.
This position offers the successful candidate with the opportunity to provide specialist technical support to staff and students undertaking detailed scientific testing in the suite of Psychology laboratories. The post holder will be providing expert advice in relation to bespoke computing and experimental methods as well as the use of a wide range of equipment associated with investigative analysis.
They will work closely with the senior technicianand colleagues to maintain and develop the currency of the facility; in particular, the customisation, configuration and use of the bespoke applications and associated processes/hardware used by the teaching/research team.
What you will bring
- Have a Batchelor’s degree or equivalent qualification/experience in a relevant Psychology based discipline.
- Experience in providing technical support in a HE or relevant professional environment.
- Practical working knowledge of E-prime, Gorilla, Qualtrics, MATLAB and or Python as well as eye-tracker and EEG systems.
- Relevant health and safety knowledge and communication skills.
