The School: The role sits in the School of Psychology and Social Sciences. The school is forward-thinking and dynamic and aims to lead the way in the delivery of its courses. Our academic team has a diverse range of experiences from working in academia, as practitioners and working in industry. Our focus is on developing students in both discipline knowledge and applied skills to make them employer ready when they graduate from us. As a school in its infancy, we welcome individuals who want to develop the school both in terms of programmes as well as novel approaches to teaching and assessment. The school adopts a culture of openness where all members and students are welcomed to contribute to its developments.   

The Opportunity: The Lecturer will deliver excellent teaching and learning in the field of Psychology for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. This exciting opportunity also provides the opportunity to be part of the development of our new suite of courses. 

The Person:  You will have an existing track record of creating, developing and enhancing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, in psychology and we would welcome applicants with a Biological and Cognitive background and/or a Social and Development Psychology background. You will be recognised by the BPS as having Graduate Basis for Chartership.  You will be experienced in current and effective teaching, learning and assessment practices in Higher Education, and be able to bring your knowledge and understanding to Arden to grow our programmes and providing excellent student outcomes.  We are looking for you to be able to evidence your successful experience of working in programme teams and of being a creative and inspiring lecturer and colleague.
