£29,605 - £36,024 per annum, pro rata

Our partnership with the NHSScotland Assure Research Service, aims to provide valuable information and insight on how we can deliver safe healthcare environments that are free from avoidable risk.

As such, we are currently recruiting a Project Officer/Senior Administrator on a fixed-term basis to join us and provide comprehensive administrative support to the Edinburgh Napier University Delivery Group in relation to all aspects of the initiative.

The Role

As Project Officer/Senior Administrator, you will have the opportunity to use your significant experience of providing administrative support to contribute to all phases of managing the fund, by supporting the key stages of the application process and tracking progress against key deliverables agreed between Edinburgh Napier University and NHSScotland Assure.

Your high attention to detail and adaptable nature will serve you well as you take responsibility for organising and managing documentation for various projects (including project summaries, project plans, risks and issues logs, etc.).

Your meticulous approach to working will also serve you well as you manage various administrative activities relating to funded research projects, including generation of correspondence, minute taking, and the updating of relevant marketing and communications on the project webpage.

You will also be in a position to utilise your excellent written communication and presentation skills as you produce valuable management information and reports to Senior University teams, NHSScotland Assure and fund-specific teams such as the Awards Panel and Oversight Board.

Furthermore, you will find yourself in a unique position as you become a subject matter expert, being the main point of contact for a number of internal and external stakeholders, issuing responses to enquiries from Higher Education, NHS, and business/industry, and providing project management support/co-ordination to ensure that the funded research process is delivered effectively and efficiently.

What we will need from you

We are looking for individuals with a strong administrative background and a general enthusiasm for making a positive difference.  As well as this you will need:

  • An education to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrable administrative experience
  • Experience of working in Higher Education or engaging with private/ public sector, industry/ government/ business services
  • Experience of working on projects and producing project documentation
  • Ability to produce management information to support project meetings with internal and external stakeholders

Salary: Grade 4 - £29,605 - £36,024 per annum, pro rata (depending on experience)

Contract: Fixed-Term until 31st March 2025 (with possibility of extension)

Hours: 14 hours/wk (flexible days)
