About the role

The Blavatnik School of Government is looking for a talented Project Officer to join the Learning from the Right Project.

The project will initially host a series of conversations with leading thinkers, from around the globe, who are identifiably on the political right, leading to publication of a edited volume. This is intended to help renew and provide intellectual diversity for civic and political education in universities globally.

Reporting to the Project Director, the postholder will manage the day-to-day financial and administrative activities including project management; ensuring project plans are delivered to a high standard, and develop and monitor budgets for the programme. You will act as the first point of contact for all external enquiries, be responsible for meetings and events, and contribute to the project’s online presence.

This is a part-time position (0.8FTE/30 hours per week) and fixed-term until 31 December 2024.

About you

You should be educated to undergraduate level in relevant field such as political philosophy, political science, economics, law or public policy. Proficiency in project management, delivering high-quality outcomes within set timelines and budgets are imperative.

You should have a flexible can-do approach to work, self-motivation, resilience and a willingness to adapt to the changing needs and priorities of the programme. You should have excellent problem-solving, communication, team-work and numeracy skills, and be confident dealing with financial data.
