We are seeking to appoint a fixed term Project Officer for our British Council funded ‘Encouraging women onto STEM programmes through to developing their careers towards senior academic positions’ project. This project will involve online collaboration with universities in Brazil. The current end date for this project is November 2022.

The aim of the role is to manage and co-ordinate the delivery of workshops and online mentoring opportunities delivered by Aston staff to colleagues within Brazilian higher education institutions.  The workshops and mentoring will support the colleagues within the Brazilian institutions in developing their own gender equality advancement framework. 

The role holder will work collaboratively with academics, professional services staff, and other partners to ensure that the project outputs are met within the stated timescales. 

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent. You will have experience of working in a customer service and administration role and will be able to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will have excellent written and verbal skills; the ability to prioritise to meet tight deadlines; and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience of running online workshops and working with international partners will be advantageous.
