Over £50 million has been invested in the Power Electronics and Machines Centre (PEMC) at the University of Nottingham to accelerate the adoption of electrification technologies into widespread use. This includes a 22-megawatt laboratory dedicated to research, development, manufacturing and testing of electrical machines and drives with over 200 people working in the building. The University has created Nottingham Drives Specialist Services (NDSS) to run an externally facing service to enable operation of this exciting facility on an industrial scale with a dedicated team supported by senior leadership. 

This is an exciting initiative with high demand from industry. The role holder will: 

  • provide project management for technical development projects within the DER Industrialisation Centre (DER-IC).  
  • manage project delivery against cost, time and scope parameters. They will ensure appropriate plans, risk and issue management, resource, and governance are in place and report on progress internally and act as the single point of contact for customers externally.  
  • manage projects with a wide range of complexity for external stakeholders on behalf of the university. 

Candidates should have a good honours degree or equivalent and experience in a similar role OR a proven track record of extensive relevant work experience, demonstrating practical and theoretical knowledge of project management.

The post will be offered on full time (36.25 hours per week) permanent basis. Job share arrangements may be considered.
